Chelsea will not sell John Mikel Obi this summer according to his
representative, as rumours continue to circulate that the London club
will offload the Nigerian midfielder along side Oscar, Hazard and Remy,
to generate funds for the purchase of Paul Pogba from Juventus.
Pogba, arguably the best midfielder in the world right now, has been
linked with moves to Real Madrid, Barcelona and Man City but Chelsea
feel they could lure him to Stamford Bridge...
...hence reports Mikel could be offloaded with one
year left on his current contract but his representative has reportedly
dismissed the idea.
“If Chelsea have plans to sell him, they will not offer him a new
contract. It is normal paper talk and not true,”Mikel’s representative
said to Vanguard.
“Mikel remains a player of Chelsea and wants to finish up the season
before weighing his options.”
